CoRe consists of the following five organs:
- the General Assembly,
- the Board of Founders,
- the Coordination (the General Secretariat, the Commission of Legal affairs, the commission of Economy and Finance, the Commission of Research and Development, and lastly the Public Relations and Communication Commission),
- the Project Management Team, and
- Field Units.
The General Assembly is the supreme organ of Congo Renaissance. It meets to deliberate and give necessary orientations to the organization’s activities. All members are part of the General Assembly.
The board of Founders is the regulatory body of Congo Renaissance vested with the power to back up the work of the General Assembly at a smaller scale.
The Coordination is a cluster that brings together the following task teams and commissions: Legal affairs, Economy and Finance, Research and Development, and Public Relations and Communication.
The Coordination Committee is in charge the management of all activities of the organization. The commission consists of between 5 to 8 members: a chairperson, his/her deputy, a general secretary, a treasurer, the heads of each commission and the heads of operating Field Units.
Project Management Team is in charge of the design of programmes and project to be implemented at the level of operating units.
Field units are operating macro scale projects or programmes of CoRe. So far Congo Renaissance has 2 field units: the Advocacy Unit and the Gender Units. Both units are describe in the ‘our work’ section.
The current Coordination committee of CoRe was elected in April 2007 and comprises:
