Our vision

A new nation, a blossoming home to the sons and daughters of the DR Congo!

Our mission

Our mission is three-fold:
One, be an advocacy organization aimed at raising awareness of political leaders and Congolese people on issues pertaining to the sociopolitical future of the DRC;
Two, provide objective policy insights on any development issue of the DRC in order to help and inspire decision makers improve on their choices.
Three, undertake relevant actions that contribute to the renaissance of Congo and help the nation build an influential place on the concert of nations;

Our objectives
In order to better serve our mission, CoRe pursues the following objectives:

  • Provide an intellectual platform for the promotion of transformative ideas for Africa in general and the DRC in particular;
  • Present an arena for reflection, open to different Congolese structures of the Diaspora in South Africa and overseas;
  • Offer a space for solidarity to the Congolese Diaspora in RSA;
  • Contribute to the mobilization of the Congolese Diaspora in South Africa as well as those overseas on the state of the nation;
  • Provide a framework for monitoring and evaluating the work and actions undertaken by the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as by the bilateral and multilateral actors;
  • Invest in education, the culture of Peace, and Good Governance as well as the promotion of tolerance of diversity and the defense of human rights;
  • Provide up-to-date analyses on the sociopolitical landscape of the country and make rooms for policy consultation to stimulate the implication of Congolese Diaspora in the reconstruction process and development of the DRC and its advocacy at regional as well as international actors (economical operators, humanitarian agencies, and institutions);
  • Create and maintain a relationship of consultation and collaboration with the Congolese Diaspora throughout the world;
  • Engage in  a coherent advocacy and lobbying process with development agencies as well as all governmental structures that may have special interests in the Congo while taking into account the realities, needs, political and economical interests of the Congolese people;
  • Maintain partnership with civil society organizations and Research Institutions operating in South Africa;
  • Contribute to HIV/Aids awareness;
  • Actively get involved in the fight against poverty;
